To commemorate the sesqui-centenary of the death of Australia's pioneering bishop, John Bede Polding O.S.B in 2027, a collection of essays will be published, discussing various aspects of his life.
We wish to bring the memory of Archbishop Polding once again to the attention of the Church in Australia.This publication will be a collaboration between the Guild of Archbishop Polding and the Australian Catholic Historical Society and is intended to be published by Connor Court Publishing towards the end of 2027.
A brief biography of the Archbishop will introduce the anthology, followed by essays and articles from scholars and researches past and present. Selections from the writings of the Archbishop will be part of the Anthology. Concluding will be a comprehensive bibliography for the benefit of researchers present and future.
This Anthology is being edited by Michael Sternbeck (Newcastle), James Franklin (Sydney) and Odhran O'Brien (Perth).

We invite scholars, researchers and other interested persons to make contributions to this Anthology, discussing the life, times, work and teaching of the Archbishop.
Previously-published essays, articles etc will also be most welcome.
